Kaneg’s Trailer Mate Locking Bolt Kit

These bolts are a Specialists 2-piece Locking Bolt System 

Our proprietary 2- piece locking bolts, are designed as a removable bolt system, that allows for the outer base bolt to remain in the Tray and the inner top bolt be removed to release the Trailer Mate.

TM Fixing

Drill a 16mm diameter hole into the fixing Tray to accommodate the Outer Bolt casing.

The unthreaded TM retaining outer Bolt case has sufficient length to allow for Bracing plates to be placed below the Tray.

The Bracing plates give the Tray a higher capacity against a Bolt pull-out.

Trailer Mate removal - replacement

TM removal and replacement is as simple as unbolting the 2 Hex headed inner bolts.

With the TM removed, the retaining bolt head is proud of the tray by about 8mm, effectively a near flush Tray for other uses.

Tray Hold-down Capacity

Before using the TM-Bolts or fixing the TM, please have a suitable qualified person to inspect and certify the fixing Tray - floor base has sufficient capacity to restrain the Trailer Mate & Motorcycle in place.
